Hello

Nice to meet you!

Into Games - IG50 Winner 2024

About me:

I’m Marc! An Administration Coordinator with in-depth administration and customer service experience, who is looking for the opportunity to support great teams. Eager to get involved - whilst bringing my own curiosity and unique experiences into the mix!

I’m a friendly, highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative person who enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating with others. I pride myself in being approachable and am always curious and eager to learn new skills and grow as a person.

I am actively seeking new opportunities for career development supporting great teams. Whether it be Project Management or Coordination roles, Quality Assurance, Development Support, or within the broader creative industry. I am also open to positions within Design, Digital Marketing and elsewhere within general administrative management roles.

Communication Design:

I graduated from Robert Gordon University, Gray’s School of Art, in 2018 with a BA in Communication Design. The Communication Design course allowed me to explore Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography within a studio-based collaborative practice and also in a critical and theoretical capacity. This has provided me with the experience of working with clients in a professional manner as well as working on a variety of live projects within Marketing, Advertising and Branding. It has also given me the experience of working in a fast-paced studio environment whilst ensuring that strict deadlines are always met - which has proven vital when working with clients and collaborating with other professionals.

Technology and IT knowledge is a fundamental component of the Communication Design course, which has allowed me to gain an expansive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and the MS Office Suite. The course also aided me in exploring the many marketing concepts and techniques that play a vital role in making a professional social media presence successful. As part of this course I participated in the Erasmus+ programme, by undertaking a study-abroad module at Hochschule Hannover. This allowed me to embrace a completely different culture and experience my chosen subject from a different perspective as well as enhance my understanding of public engagement by collaborating with my cohort on organising an exhibition (Konnektor Gallery). This experience proved vital in helping to organise another exhibition in the final year of my degree (Flux: Erasmus+ Exhibition).

Administration:

I have excellent administrative and organisational skills gained from my role as a Programme Administrator within the Higher Education sector, where I work closely with students and colleagues across departments within a large University. I have extensive experience of working with customers and colleagues locally and internationally, project management, business travel coordination, event management, and communications. I regularly work to short deadlines across multiple projects and enjoy looking for new ways to expand my knowledge. The ability to prioritise, be proactive and communicate across teams has proven essential within the Higher Education sector.

Playtesting:

In my spare time, I frequently sign up for and participate in online playtesting and closed beta testing. I enjoy this greatly for the opportunity to share feedback and help shape a game during its development, while also meeting others in the gaming community. I participate in the Xbox Insider and Ambassador Programmes and have taken part in online Playtesting sessions with Electronic Arts, supported the Battlefield Community Test Environment, and am a member of the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme.
