Natural Risque

Created as part of a live workshop with Kelly Anna at Graphic Design Festival Scotland 2019, which required for us to launch a live campaign selling merchandise on everpress.

For this design, I wanted to incorporate elements of my own photography with illustration. I wanted to change the perception that erotica and risque are a taboo subject.

In order to do this I decided to explore the human body and the natural organic shapes that can be found where you least expect them to be. I was fascinated by the similarity that these shapes had to that found within organic plants and architecture.

My photography allowed me to look at masculinity and the male body, featuring close-ups of key areas that have most unique and bold shapes. Photography allowed me to explore this in a mature manner - combining risqué and shock to create eye-catching content.
